How to Transform Your Life With The Power of Your Words
When people think of a transformation, they think of doing something drastic for a dramatic result like women who get plastic surgery.
This is nothing like augmenting a part of your body. However, this post will help you change your mindset in order to live a better life.
How you may ask.
Growing up, I used to write all the time in many different forms. I loved to write and so I wrote whenever and however I could. And I was happy.
I found a way to always get through what was going on in life by writing.
At some point in my life, I stopped writing, opting to let life happen. I became a very shy introvert, unwilling to share my innermost thoughts with anyone. And I was unhappy.
I tried for years to be happier and have a better life but I kept running into roadblocks.
And then it hit me.
I had to go back to what made me happy and slowly, but surely my life began to transform in ways I would have never guessed.
Here are some ways you too can transform your life with the power of your words.
We all had one growing up and some of us have kept it going into our adult life.
Journaling allows you to simply, in so many words, talk to yourself.
It may be an awkward concept to digest but it’s true.
Writing down your thoughts, dreams, fears, and desires allows you to get out of your head. It makes it easier to make decisions and to come up with ideas that may have, in other non-writing scenarios, been only fleeting thoughts.
When you make an effort to journal, the world becomes a place that you can navigate a little bit easier and you can transform your life instantly.
Start a Blog
I know what you’re thinking.
All blogs are not public and you can keep it to yourself if you want.
However, if you have something that you truly believe in, what’s the harm in conveying it to the rest of the world. In this, you may be surprised how many people think and feel the way you do about the particular subject you’ve decided to write about.
Besides, what’s the fun in keeping a blog to yourself?
Having other folks to share in the things that you care about and are compelled to talk about can have a major impact on your life.
Starting a blog, and writing about what you’re interested in, gives you an outlet where you may not have previously had one.
Share Your Experiences By Guest Posting
If you don’t wish to start your own blog, you can always contribute to someone else’s. There are many sites out there which will allow you to share your experiences.
You ultimately get the same benefit as having your own blog minus all the responsibilities that go into running a blog. Also, there is already a set community you can become a part of and share with.
Guest posting allows you to assist in other people’s growth while ascertaining your own. Very beneficial.
Compose Sharable Social Media Posts
Folks love to share inspirational social media posts, myself included.
Well, imagine if the inspirational posts being shared were yours.
Now, I’m not saying you have to get your posts shared to transform your life. What I am saying, however, is that you have to have something to say and in that will more than likely be shared by others.
There is an app I use to create social media posts that are really nice to look at, motivate and inspire.
But you don’t have to be extra like me, you can write how you feel and press Post.
The goal is to touch someone else using your words. And what better platform to do it on than your social media accounts that already are full of your friends and family.
Writing social media posts can impact your followers, friends, and family in ways you never thought you could. And in turn, it changes you for the better.
Write a Book
I’m actually really serious about this one.
So often I run into people who tell me that they have a story they feel they should write. But those same people never take the step beyond thinking about writing a book.
Here’s the thing, forget everything you think about book writing and publishing.
You don’t have to get a big publishing deal in order to write an impactful book.
You can write a book for just you, your friends, and family. And there is nothing wrong with self-publishing, even though it still kind of gets a bad rep.
If you want to really transform your life, writing a book will help you accomplish such a thing.
These are all ways to transform your life with the power of your words. One, or all of them, may work for you.
The main point is that you should definitely give it a try.
